Queen Performing Don't Stop Me Now Live in Concert in Hi-Def

Don't Stop Me Now (iTunes MP3) is a 1979 single by British rock legends Queen. This video, like Black Sabbath's War Pigs, has been converted to Hi-Def. Don't Stop Me Now was a top ten hit (#9) in the U.K, but only made it to #86 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It's become much more popular here in the U.S. because it's been included on Queen's Greatest Hits collection.

The Fat Boys - The Twist (Chubby Checker Cover)

The Fat Boys! I can't remember the last time I heard this song or any song by The Fat Boys. In 1988, they released their Coming Back Hard Again album, and their cover of Chubby Checker's The Twist was a big hit for them. Enjoy!

Kid Rock's Music Video For Cowboy

Kid Rock is up for a Grammy Award tonight for his summer anthem All Summer Long, which I hope wins tonight, because it's a great song. Today, I wanted to flashback to Kid Rock's first big commercial hit Cowboy. It was his most successful single from his 1998 album Devil Without a Cause. It peaked at #10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts and #5 on the Modern Rock charts. Good luck tonight Kid!

Sugar Ray - When It's Over

Before Mark McGrath was the co-host of the celebrity gossip show Extra!, he was and still is the lead singer for the alternative pop band Sugar Ray. They're actually releasing their first studio album in six years this summer. Their last single to chart within the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts was 2001's When It's Over, which peaked at #13 on the Hot 100 charts. It was the first single from their 2001 self-titled album. It'll be interesting to see how their new album sounds and sells.

Def Leppard - Wasted

Most music fans are familiar with Def Leppard because of their mid to late 80's hits like Photograph and Pour Some Sugar On Me, but when Def Leppard first came onto the scene, their sound was more like AC/DC than Bon Jovi. Their debut single from their 1979 debut album On Through The Night was called Wasted, and it's just a good ole' fashioned heavy metal song. Enjoy!

Debbie Gibson - Only In My Dreams

Before Christina, Britney and Miley, there was Debbie Gibson. Back in 1987, Debbie Gibson danced onto the pop scene when she released her debut album Out of the Blue. Only In My Dreams was the first single released from the album, and it went all the way to #4. She was every bit as popular as Britney and Miley back in the late 80's, but her fame didn't last nearly as long as Britney's. By 1990, her star had started to fade, and by the mid-90's, she was all but forgotten. Enjoy!

Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is

Foreigner are probably most remembered for their rockin' hits like Hot Blooded and Urgent, but their first and only #1 Hot 100 single in America was 1984's I Want To Know What Love Is. This song was huge. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts, the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts and the U.K. Singles charts. Enjoy!

Monday

2 Live Crew - Me So Horny

Back in the late 80's, 2 Live Crew made a lot of noise both on the airwaves and in the courtroom. Their album As Nasty As They Wanna Be caused a tremendous amount of controversy because of the sexual references in the songs and the liberal use of profanity. But, as usual in America, all the negative publicity did was increase the popularity of the album, and it ended up going double platinum. This single, Me So Horny, went all the way to #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, which was a pretty good achievement for a rap song back then. Enjoy!
