Just the Way You Are was Billy Joel's first top ten pop hit and his first #1 Billboard Adult Contemporary hit. He also won the 1978 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The song was written for his first wife Elizabeth Weber, but after they divorced, when he sang the song live, he would think about what he was going to eat for dinner or what he was going to do after the show.
