My Prerogative was Bobby Brown's first and only solo number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It was the second single from his 1988 Don't Be Cruel album. The song was also his third number one on the Billboard Hot R&B charts. Before striking out on his own, Bobby was one of the founding members of the boy band New Edition. Bobby was forced out of New Edition because of behavioral problems in December 1985, and launched his solo career in 1986. Enjoy!
